అన్న అంటే తనకంటే వయసులో పెద్దవాడైన తోబుట్టువు; అలాగే కొంచెం పెద్దవాడైన పురుషుడిని గౌరవంగా పిలిచే మాట కూడా.

Anna means elder brother, and is also a respectful way to address a man somewhat older than oneself.
