అవధానం

అవధానం అంటే ఏకాగ్రత, శ్రద్ధ; తెలుగు సాహిత్యంలో ఒక కవి అనేక మంది అడిగే ప్రశ్నలకు, ఇచ్చే సమస్యలకు ఆశువుగా పద్యాలలో సమాధానం చెప్పే ప్రదర్శన.

Avadhanam means concentration or attention; in Telugu literature it is a performance in which a poet answers many questioners and tasks at once, mostly with improvised verse.

అర్థాలు Senses

    ఈ అర్థం పాత, సాహిత్య వాడుకలో ఎక్కువ (సరిచూడాలి).

    • విద్యార్థి అవధానంతో పాఠం విన్నాడు. — The student listened to the lesson attentively.

  2. తెలుగు సాహిత్యంలో అవధాని అనే కవి, పృచ్ఛకులు అనే అనేక మంది అడిగే ప్రశ్నలకు, ఇచ్చే సమస్యలకు ఒకేసారి గుర్తుపెట్టుకొని ఆశువుగా పద్యాలలో సమాధానం చెప్పే ప్రదర్శన.

    In Telugu literature, a performance in which a poet (the avadhani) keeps track of questions and tasks put by several questioners (the prucchakas) and answers them in order, largely with improvised verse.

    పృచ్ఛకుల సంఖ్యను బట్టి అష్టావధానం (ఎనిమిది మంది), శతావధానం (వంద మంది) వంటి పేర్లు సంప్రదాయంగా వస్తాయి.
