బావ అంటే సాధారణంగా అక్క లేదా చెల్లెలి భర్త; కొన్ని కుటుంబాలలో మేనత్త లేదా మేనమామ కొడుకును కూడా బావ అంటారు.

Bava usually means a sister's husband; in some families it also names the son of one's paternal aunt or maternal uncle.
