గాజు అంటే పారదర్శకంగా ఉండే పెళుసైన పదార్థం; గాజులు అంటే స్త్రీలు చేతికి వేసుకునే వలయాలు.

Gaaju means glass, the clear brittle material; the plural gaajulu also means bangles worn on the wrist.
