గర్వం

గర్వం అంటే తన గొప్పతనం గురించి కలిగే అతిశయ భావన, అహంకారం; ఒక విజయం పట్ల కలిగే సంతోషభావం కూడా.

Garvam means pride: arrogance about oneself, and also the happy feeling of being proud of an achievement.

అర్థాలు Senses

  1. తనను తాను ఇతరుల కన్నా గొప్పగా భావించే అహంకారం.

    Arrogance or conceit; an inflated sense of one own importance.

    • గర్వం పెరిగితే స్నేహితులు దూరమవుతారు. — If conceit grows, friends drift away.

  2. తనకు లేదా తనవారికి కలిగిన విజయం పట్ల కలిగే సంతోషంతో కూడిన గౌరవభావం.

    Pride in the good sense; a happy feeling of honour at the success of oneself or of loved ones.

    ఈ అర్థంలో సాధారణంగా "గర్వంగా ఉంది" అనే రూపంలో వాడతారు.

    • నా కూతురి విజయం చూసి నాకు గర్వంగా ఉంది. — I feel proud seeing my daughter success.
