నాటకం

natakam

నాటకం అంటే నటులు పాత్రలు ధరించి వేదికపై ప్రదర్శించే కథ; అలాగే నటన, కపటం అనే అర్థం కూడా ఉంది.

Natakam means a play: a story acted out on stage by performers playing characters; colloquially it also means pretence.

అర్థాలు Senses

  1. నటులు పాత్రలు ధరించి సంభాషణలు, నటనతో వేదికపై ప్రదర్శించే కథ; రచనగా కూడా పిలుస్తారు.

    Play, drama: a story performed on stage by actors in character with dialogue and acting; the written text of such a play is also called a natakam.

    • బడి వార్షికోత్సవంలో పిల్లలు నాటకం వేశారు. — At the school annual day the children staged a play.

  2. నిజం కాని ప్రవర్తన; నటించడం, కపటం.

    Pretence: behaviour that is put on and not genuine (colloquial).

    Often in the phrase నాటకం ఆడు, to put on an act.

    • నాకు తెలుసు, నువ్వు నాటకం ఆడుతున్నావు. — I know you are putting on an act.
