పడు అంటే పై నుంచి కిందికి రావడం, పడిపోవడం; అలాగే కొన్ని మాటలతో కలిసి ఒక స్థితికి లోనవడం అనే అర్థం ఇస్తుంది.

Padu is the verb to fall, to drop from a higher place to a lower one; it is also added to other words to mean going through a state, as in bhayapadu, to be afraid.

అర్థాలు Senses

  1. పై నుంచి కిందికి రావడం; నేల మీదికి జారడం లేదా వర్షం వంటివి కురవడం.

    To fall: to come down from a higher place; to drop to the ground; also used for rain falling.

    • ఆటలో పిల్లవాడు కింద పడ్డాడు. — The boy fell down while playing.
    • ఉదయం నుంచి వర్షం పడుతోంది. — It has been raining since morning.

  2. కొన్ని నామవాచకాలతో కలిసి ఒక భావానికి లేదా స్థితికి లోనవడాన్ని సూచించే సహాయక క్రియ (భయపడు, కష్టపడు వంటివి).

    Added to certain nouns to form verbs meaning to experience or undergo that feeling or state, for example bhayapadu (to be afraid) and kashtapadu (to work hard, to suffer).

    • భయపడకుండా ముందుకు వెళ్ళు. — Go ahead without being afraid.
