పసుపు అంటే నిమ్మకాయ, బంతిపువ్వు వంటి వాటి రంగు; ఈ రంగులో ఉండే వంటకు, శుభకార్యాలకు వాడే పొడి కూడా పసుపే.

Pasupu means yellow, and also turmeric, the yellow powder used in cooking and in auspicious ceremonies.

అర్థాలు Senses

  1. నిమ్మకాయ, బంతిపువ్వు వంటి వాటి రంగు.

    Yellow; the colour of a lemon or a marigold.

    • పొలమంతా ఆవాల పువ్వులతో పసుపు రంగులోకి మారింది. — The whole field turned yellow with mustard flowers.

  2. వంటల్లో, శుభకార్యాల్లో వాడే పసుపు రంగు పొడి; పసుపు కొమ్ము నుంచి చేస్తారు.

    • కూరలో కొద్దిగా పసుపు వేయండి. — Add a little turmeric to the curry.
