ఉత్తరం అంటే ఉత్తర దిక్కు; అలాగే రాసి పంపే లేఖ, ప్రశ్నకు ఇచ్చే జవాబు అనే అర్థాలలో కూడా వాడతారు.

Uttaram means the north; it is also used for a written letter and for the answer to a question.

అర్థాలు Senses

  1. నాలుగు ప్రధాన దిక్కులలో ఒకటి; దక్షిణానికి ఎదురుగా ఉండే దిక్కు.

    North: one of the four main directions, opposite to south.

    • మా ఊరికి ఉత్తరం వైపు కొండలు ఉన్నాయి. — There are hills to the north of our village.

  2. ఒకరు మరొకరికి రాసి పంపే సమాచారం; లేఖ.

    A letter: a written message sent from one person to another.

    • నాన్నగారు నాకు ఉత్తరం రాశారు. — Father wrote me a letter.

  3. ప్రశ్నకు లేదా లేఖకు ఇచ్చే జవాబు.

    A reply or answer, to a question or to a letter.

    ఈ అర్థంలో జవాబు, సమాధానం అనే మాటలు వాడుకలో ఎక్కువ.

    • ప్రశ్నకు సరైన ఉత్తరం చెప్పు. — Give the correct answer to the question.
