Vasucharitramu
వసుచరిత్రము ఉపరిచర వసురాజు కథను చెప్పే తెలుగు ప్రబంధం. దీనిని భట్టుమూర్తి (రామరాజభూషణుడు) సుమారు 16వ శతాబ్దంలో రచించాడని సంప్రదాయం.
Vasucharitramu is a Telugu prabandha that tells the story of King Uparichara Vasu. It is credited to Bhattumurti (Ramarajabhushanudu), of around the 16th century.

వసుచరిత్రము తెలుగు ప్రబంధ కావ్యాలలో ప్రసిద్ధమైనది. దీని కర్త భట్టుమూర్తి; ఆయన "రామరాజభూషణుడు" అనే బిరుదుతో ఎక్కువగా పేరు పొందాడు. ఆయన సుమారు 16వ శతాబ్దంలో, విజయనగర కాలంలో ఉన్నాడని భావిస్తారు (సరిచూడాలి).
Vasucharitramu is one of the well-known Telugu prabandhas. It is credited to Bhattumurti, who is best known by the title Ramarajabhushanudu. He is thought to belong to around the 16th century, in the Vijayanagara period (subject to verification).
విషయం, రూపం Subject and form
ఇది ఉపరిచర వసురాజు కథను చెప్పే ప్రబంధం; ఈ కథ మహాభారతంలో కనిపిస్తుందని సాధారణంగా చెబుతారు (సరిచూడాలి). ప్రబంధం అంటే వర్ణనలకు, అలంకారాలకు ఎక్కువ ప్రాధాన్యం ఇచ్చే పొడవైన కథా కావ్యం. ఇందులో శ్లేష వంటి శబ్దాలంకారాల వాడకానికి ఈ కావ్యం పేరు పొందిందని తరచు చెబుతారు (సరిచూడాలి).

A prabandha is a long narrative poem that gives much weight to description and ornament. The poem is often said to be noted for its use of verbal ornaments such as slesha (double meaning) (subject to verification).
