వేమన పద్యాలు వేమన పేరుతో ప్రసిద్ధమైన చిన్న చిన్న తెలుగు పద్యాల సంకలనం. సరళమైన భాషలో నీతి, లోకజ్ఞానం, ఆధ్యాత్మిక చింతన చెబుతాయి. సంకలనాలను బట్టి పద్యాల సంఖ్య, పాఠం మారతాయి, కాబట్టి అన్నీ వేమనవే అని నిర్ధారించలేము.

వేమన పద్యాలు అంటే వేమన పేరుతో వ్యాప్తిలో ఉన్న పద్యాల సమూహం. వేమన ఎప్పుడు జీవించాడో ఖచ్చితంగా తెలియదు; అభిప్రాయాలు సుమారు 14వ నుండి 17వ శతాబ్దం వరకు ఉన్నాయి (సరిచూడాలి). ఈ పద్యాలు వేమనకు సంప్రదాయంగా ఆపాదించబడినవి; ఏది నిజంగా ఆయనదో నిర్ధారించడం కష్టం.
Vemana Padyalu is the body of verses that circulate under the name of Vemana. It is not known with certainty when Vemana lived; opinions range from roughly the 14th to the 17th century (subject to verification). The verses are traditionally attributed to him, and it is hard to confirm which are truly his.

పద్యాలు చిన్నవి, ఆటవెలది వంటి సరళమైన ఛందస్సులో ఉంటాయి, ప్రతి పద్యం చివర "విశ్వదాభిరామ వినుర వేమ" అనే మకుటం వస్తుంది. ఇతివృత్తాలు నీతి, లోకజ్ఞానం, యోగం, ఆధ్యాత్మిక చింతన, ఆచారాల ఆడంబరంపై విమర్శ. వేర్వేరు ముద్రణలలో పద్యాల సంఖ్య, పాఠం మారుతాయి.
The verses are short and in simple metres such as the ataveladi, and each ends with the refrain "Viswadabhirama Vinura Vema". Their themes include ethics, worldly wisdom, yoga, spiritual reflection and criticism of empty ritual. The number and wording of verses differ between printed editions.
తెలుగు సాహిత్యంలో స్థానం Place in Telugu literature
వేమన పద్యాలు తెలుగు ఇళ్ళలో బాగా తెలిసినవి; వాటిలోని పంక్తులు సామెతల్లా వాడుకలో ఉన్నాయి. పండితుల భాషకు బదులు సామాన్యుల భాషలో రాయడం వేమన ప్రత్యేకతగా తరచు చెబుతారు. ఈ పద్యాలను పాఠశాలల్లో, పద్య పఠనంలో విస్తృతంగా చదువుతారు.
Vemana's verses are very well known in Telugu households, and lines from them are used as everyday sayings. Writing in the language of ordinary people rather than of scholars is often named as his distinctive quality. The verses are widely read in schools and in verse recitation.
