ఆదికవి అంటే మొదటి కవి అని అర్థం; తెలుగు సాహిత్యంలో సంప్రదాయంగా నన్నయకు ఇచ్చే బిరుదు.

Adikavi means "the first poet"; in Telugu literature it is traditionally the epithet of Nannaya.

అర్థాలు Senses

  1. ఒక భాషలో కావ్య రచనను మొదలుపెట్టిన మొదటి కవి అనే అర్థంలో ఇచ్చే సంప్రదాయ బిరుదు; తెలుగులో సంప్రదాయంగా నన్నయను ఆదికవి అంటారు (సరిచూడాలి).

    The first poet: a traditional title given to the poet regarded as the first in a language. In Telugu it is traditionally used for Nannaya (subject to verification).

    ఇది ప్రధానంగా సంప్రదాయ బిరుదు; ఆయనకు ముందు తెలుగు రచనలు లేవని దీని అర్థం కాదు. సంస్కృతంలో వాల్మీకిని ఆదికవి అంటారు.
