ఛందస్సు

ఛందస్సు అంటే పద్యంలో అక్షరాలు, గణాలు, పాదాలు ఇలా ఉండాలనే నియమాల అమరిక; ఆ నియమాలను వివరించే శాస్త్రం.

Chandassu means prosody or metre: the rules for arranging syllables, ganas and lines in a verse, and the study of those rules.

అర్థాలు Senses

  1. పద్యంలో అక్షరాల, గణాల, పాదాల నియమిత అమరిక; ఒక పద్యం నడిచే తీరు.

    Metre; the fixed arrangement of syllables, ganas and lines that governs a verse.

    • ఈ పద్యం ఏ ఛందస్సులో ఉందో చెప్పండి. — Tell me in which metre this verse is composed.

  2. ఆ నియమాలను వివరించే శాస్త్రం; ఛందశ్శాస్త్రం.

    Prosody; the branch of study that explains the rules of metre.

    ఈ అర్థంలో "ఛందశ్శాస్త్రం" అనే రూపం కూడా వాడతారు. చందస్సు అనే రాతను కూడా చూడవచ్చు, కానీ ఛందస్సు ప్రామాణిక రూపం (సరిచూడాలి).
