బద్దెన 13వ శతాబ్దంలో ఉన్న కవిగా గ్రంథాలయ పట్టికలు నమోదు చేశాయి. సుమతీ శతకం సంప్రదాయంగా ఈయనకు ఆపాదించబడింది; అయితే ఆ కర్తృత్వం నిర్ధారితం కాదు.
