దేవులపల్లి కృష్ణశాస్త్రి 20వ శతాబ్దపు మొదటి భాగంలో ప్రసిద్ధి చెందిన తెలుగు కవి, భావకవిత్వ ఉద్యమంలో ముఖ్యులు. ప్రేమ, ప్రకృతి, సున్నితమైన భావాలను మధురమైన భాషలో వ్యక్తం చేసిన కవిత్వానికి, లలిత గీతాలకు, సినిమా పాటలకు పేరుపొందారు.

A Telugu poet who became prominent in the first half of the 20th century and a leading figure of the Bhavakavitvam (Romantic) movement, known for lyrical poetry on love, nature and delicate feeling, light songs and film songs.

Devulapalli Krishnasastri is generally said to have been born in 1897 and to have died in 1980. He is known as a poet and lyricist and is commonly called Andhra Shelley. He is also said to have been associated with All India Radio (subject to verification).

Krishnapaksham, Urvasi and Pravasam are named as his best-known poetry collections. He wrote light, melodious lyrics and songs of feeling. He is also known to have written songs for films such as Malleswari.
