ధూర్జటి 16వ శతాబ్దం తొలి భాగంలో శ్రీకృష్ణదేవరాయల కాలంలో ప్రసిద్ధుడైన తెలుగు శివభక్త కవి. శ్రీకాళహస్తి క్షేత్రంతో ముడిపడిన శ్రీకాళహస్తి మాహాత్మ్యము, శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వర శతకము ఈయన రచనలుగా ప్రసిద్ధి.

A Telugu poet and devotee of Shiva, associated with Srikalahasti and with the age of Krishnadevaraya in the early 16th century. He is known for Srikalahasti Mahatmyamu and Srikalahastisvara Satakamu.

Dhurjati was a Telugu poet and devotee of Shiva who, by tradition, was associated with the court of Krishnadevaraya around the early 16th century. His name usually appears in the traditional Ashtadiggajas list, which is not the same in every account. He is said to be closely connected with the Srikalahasti temple town. His birth and death years and other personal details are not given (subject to verification).

శ్రీకాళహస్తి మాహాత్మ్యము ఈయన ప్రసిద్ధ ప్రబంధం; ఇది శ్రీకాళహస్తి క్షేత్ర మహిమను, అక్కడి శివభక్తుల కథలను చెబుతుంది. శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వర శతకము భక్తి, వైరాగ్య భావాలను వ్యక్తం చేసే శతకం; శతకం అంటే సుమారు వంద పద్యాల రచన. ఈ శతకంలోని పద్యాలు "శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా" అనే సంబోధనతో ముగుస్తాయి.

Srikalahasti Mahatmyamu is his well-known prabandha; it tells of the glory of the Srikalahasti shrine and of stories of Shiva devotees connected with it. Srikalahastisvara Satakamu is a satakam, a work of about one hundred verses, expressing devotion and detachment. Its verses close with the address "Srikalahastisvara".

ధూర్జటి ప్రబంధ యుగ కవులలో ఒకరిగా, భక్తి కావ్యాల రచయితగా పేరొందారు. ఆయన శతకం తెలుగులోని భక్తి శతకాలలో ప్రసిద్ధమైనది. ఈ రెండు రచనలు ఒకే కవి ప్రతిభలోని కావ్య, శతక రూపాలను చూపిస్తాయి.

Dhurjati is known as one of the poets of the prabandha age and as a writer of devotional poetry. His satakam is among the well-known devotional satakams in Telugu. The two works show the same poet in two forms, the prabandha and the satakam.
