జంధ్యాల పాపయ్యశాస్త్రి 20వ శతాబ్దంలో జీవించిన తెలుగు కవి; కరుణశ్రీ అనే కలం పేరుతో ప్రసిద్ధులు. పుష్పవిలాపం అనే ఖండకావ్యానికి విశేష ప్రజాదరణ లభించింది.

జంధ్యాల పాపయ్యశాస్త్రి 20వ శతాబ్దంలో జీవించిన కవి. కరుణశ్రీ అనే కలం పేరుతో ప్రసిద్ధులు. కరుణ రసం ప్రధానంగా గల కవిత్వానికి పేరుపొందారని చెబుతారు. జన్మ, మరణ సంవత్సరాలను ఇక్కడ పేర్కొనలేదు.

Jandhyala Papayya Sastry was a poet of the 20th century, famous under the pen name Karunasri. He is said to be known for poetry in which the sentiment of compassion (karuna) predominates. His years of birth and death are not given here.

పుష్పవిలాపం ఆయన అత్యంత ప్రసిద్ధ రచన; ఇందులో పూలు తమ బాధను చెప్పుకునే భావన ఉంటుందని చెబుతారు. కుంతీకుమారి, ఉదయశ్రీ వంటి రచనలు కూడా ఆయనవిగా పేర్కొంటారు (సరిచూడాలి). ఈ రచనలు ఖండకావ్యాలు, పద్య సంపుటాలు.

Pushpavilapam is his best-known work; it is said to present flowers lamenting their own fate. Kuntikumari and Udayasri are also named as his (subject to verification). They are short poems and verse collections.
