Natakam (drama)
నాటకం అంటే రంగస్థలంపై ప్రదర్శించడానికి పాత్రల సంభాషణల రూపంలో రాసిన రచన. రాసిన నాటక సాహిత్యం చదవడానికి, ప్రదర్శించడానికి కూడా ఉపయోగపడుతుంది.
A natakam is a drama: a work written as dialogue between characters, meant to be performed on stage. Written drama can also be read as literature.
నిర్వచనం Definition
నాటకం అనేది పాత్రలు, సంభాషణలు, సన్నివేశాల ద్వారా కథను చెప్పే సాహిత్య రూపం. దీనిలో కథను చెప్పేది కథకుడు కాదు, పాత్రల మాటలు, చర్యలే.
A natakam tells its story through characters, dialogue and scenes. The story is carried by what the characters say and do rather than by a narrator.
లక్షణాలు Characteristics
నాటకాలు సాధారణంగా అంకాలు, దృశ్యాలుగా విభజింపబడతాయి. కొన్ని నాటకాల్లో పద్యాలు, పాటలు ఎక్కువగా ఉంటాయి; మరికొన్ని పూర్తిగా వచనంలో ఉంటాయి.
Plays are usually divided into acts (ankalu) and scenes. Some contain many verses and songs; others are written wholly in prose.
