అలంకారం

అలంకారం అంటే అందంగా తీర్చిదిద్దడం, ఆభరణం; సాహిత్యంలో కావ్యానికి అందాన్ని చేకూర్చే పదచమత్కారం.

Alankaram means decoration or an ornament; in literature it means a figure of speech that adds beauty to expression.

అర్థాలు Senses

  1. వస్తువును లేదా మనిషిని అందంగా తీర్చిదిద్దడం; ఆభరణం, ముస్తాబు.

    Decoration or adornment: making a thing or a person look beautiful; an ornament.

    • పెళ్లి మండపాన్ని పూలతో అలంకారం చేశారు. — They decorated the wedding hall with flowers.

  2. సాహిత్యంలో కావ్యానికి అందాన్ని, బలాన్ని చేకూర్చే పదచమత్కారం లేదా అర్థచమత్కారం.

    In literature, a figure of speech: a turn of sound or of meaning that adds beauty and force to a poem.

    ఇది శబ్దాలంకారం, అర్థాలంకారం అని రెండు రకాలుగా చెప్పడం పాఠ్యపుస్తకాలలో సాధారణం.
