పాదం అంటే నడవడానికి ఉపయోగపడే కాలు చివరి భాగం; అలాగే పద్యంలోని ఒక పంక్తి.

Padam (long a) means the foot, the end of the leg used for walking; it also means one line, or quarter, of a verse.

అర్థాలు Senses

  1. నడవడానికి, నిలబడటానికి ఉపయోగపడే కాలు చివరి భాగం.

    Foot: the end part of the leg on which a person stands and walks.

    • శిశువు పాదాలు చాలా చిన్నగా ఉన్నాయి. — The baby's feet are very small.

  2. పద్యంలో ఒక పంక్తి లేదా భాగం; పద్యపాదం.

    A line or quarter of a verse (a padyam). The number of padas depends on the kind of verse.

    • ఈ పద్యంలోని మొదటి పాదం చదవండి. — Read the first line of this verse.
