హాస్య రసం

Hasya rasa (the comic sentiment)

హాస్యం నవరసాలలో ఒకటి; దీని స్థాయిభావం హాసం, అంటే నవ్వు, ఉల్లాసం. వింత వేషం, చమత్కారమైన మాట, హాస్యాస్పదమైన సన్నివేశం వంటివాటి వల్ల ఇది కలుగుతుంది.

Hasya is one of the nine rasas; its sthayibhava is hasa, laughter or mirth. It is aroused by odd appearance, witty speech, comic situations and the like.

నిర్వచనం Definition

హాస్య రసానికి స్థాయిభావం హాసం. వింతగా కనిపించే వేషం, అసంబద్ధమైన ప్రవర్తన, చమత్కారమైన మాటలు, తికమక పడే సందర్భాలు చూసినప్పుడు, విన్నప్పుడు కలిగే నవ్వును దీనికి మూలంగా చెబుతారు. చిరునవ్వు నుంచి పెద్ద నవ్వు వరకు నవ్వుకు స్థాయిలు ఉంటాయని గ్రంథాలు చెబుతాయి.

The sthayibhava of hasya rasa is hasa. Its source is said to be the laughter felt on seeing or hearing an odd appearance, absurd behaviour, witty words or a confusing situation. Treatises say that laughter has degrees, from a faint smile to loud laughter.

ఉపయోగం Where it is used

హాస్యం ప్రహసనాలలో, హాస్య కథలలో, వ్యంగ్య రచనలలో, చమత్కార పద్యాలలో కనిపిస్తుంది. గంభీరమైన కావ్యాలలో కూడా పాత్రల సంభాషణలలో కొంత హాస్యం కలుస్తుంది. వ్యంగ్యం, చమత్కారం, అపహాస్యం వంటివి దీనికి దగ్గరి రూపాలు.

Hasya appears in farces, humorous tales, satirical writing and witty verse. Even in serious works some humour enters the conversation of the characters. Satire, wit and mockery are closely related forms.

స్థాయిభావం హాసం అనే విషయంలో సామాన్య అంగీకారం ఉంది. నవ్వు స్థాయిలను, వాటి పేర్లను గ్రంథాలు వివిధ రీతులలో చెబుతాయి కాబట్టి ఇక్కడ ఇవ్వలేదు. ఉదాహరణ పద్యాలను ఇవ్వలేదు.
