భక్తి సాహిత్యం అంటే దైవం పట్ల భక్తిని ప్రధాన ఇతివృత్తంగా చేసుకున్న రచనలు. కీర్తనలు, శతకాలు, పురాణాల తెలుగు రచనల్లో ఈ ఇతివృత్తం కనిపిస్తుంది.
Bhakti sahityam is writing in which devotion to a deity is the central theme. It appears in kirtanas, satakams and Telugu renderings of the Puranas.
నిర్వచనం Definition
భక్తి సాహిత్యం అంటే భగవంతుని స్తుతి, ప్రార్థన, శరణాగతి, ఆయన లీలల వర్ణన వంటివి ప్రధానంగా ఉన్న రచనలు. ఇది ఒక కాలానికి పరిమితమైన విభాగం కాదు; అనేక కాలాల్లో, అనేక రూపాల్లో కనిపించే ఇతివృత్తం.
Bhakti sahityam is writing in which praise of God, prayer, surrender and the description of his deeds are central. It is not tied to one period; it is a theme found in many periods and many forms.
లక్షణాలు How to recognise it
తరచు కనిపించే రూపాలు: పాడడానికి రాసిన కీర్తనలు, సంకీర్తనలు; ఒక దైవాన్ని సంబోధిస్తూ రాసిన శతకాలు; పురాణ కథలను తెలుగులో చెప్పిన కావ్యాలు. గుర్తించే లక్షణాలు: దైవాన్ని నేరుగా సంబోధించడం, ఆత్మనివేదన, స్తుతి లేదా విన్నపం, దైవ లీలల కథనం.
Forms often seen: kirtanas and sankirtanas written to be sung, satakams addressed to one deity, and kavyas that tell Puranic stories in Telugu. Signs to look for: direct address to the deity, self-surrender, praise or petition, and the narration of divine deeds.
