నీతి సాహిత్యం అంటే మంచి నడవడి, లోకవ్యవహారం గురించి బోధించే రచనలు. శతకాలు, కథలు, సూక్తులు ఈ ఇతివృత్తాన్ని చెప్పే సాధారణ రూపాలు.
Neeti sahityam is writing that teaches good conduct and worldly wisdom. Satakams, tales and maxims are common forms for this theme.
నిర్వచనం Definition
నీతి అంటే ఎలా నడుచుకోవాలి అనే విషయం. నీతి సాహిత్యం మంచి ప్రవర్తన, ధర్మం, లోకజ్ఞానం, వ్యవహార చతురతను బోధించే రచనలను సూచిస్తుంది.
Neeti means how one should conduct oneself. Neeti sahityam refers to writing that teaches good behaviour, righteousness, worldly knowledge and practical skill.
లక్షణాలు How to recognise it
తరచు కనిపించే రూపాలు: ఒక ముద్రతో వంద పద్యాలుగా ఉండే శతకాలు, చిన్న కథల ద్వారా చెప్పే బోధ (పంచతంత్రం వంటి సంప్రదాయం), సూక్తి పద్యాలు. గుర్తించే లక్షణాలు: ఉపదేశ స్వరం, ఉదాహరణలు, సామెతలను పోలిన చిన్న వాక్యాలు.
Forms often seen: satakams of one hundred verses with a signature phrase, teaching through short tales (a tradition like the Panchatantra), and maxim verses. Signs to look for: an instructive tone, examples, and short sentences resembling proverbs.

నీతి అనే ఇతివృత్తం, శతకం అనే రూపం ఒకటి కావు: నీతి శతకాలు ఉన్నట్లే భక్తి శతకాలూ ఉన్నాయి. అందుకే ఇక్కడ ఇతివృత్తాన్ని, "శతకం" పేజీలో రూపాన్ని వేర్వేరుగా చూపాం. ఇది ఇతివృత్త దృష్టి మాత్రమే.
