జానపద సాహిత్యం అంటే సాధారణ ప్రజల మధ్య ప్రధానంగా మాటగా, పాటగా తరతరాలుగా వస్తున్న సాహిత్యం. పాటలు, కథలు, సామెతలు, పొడుపు కథలు వంటివి ఇందులో వస్తాయి.
Janapada sahityam is literature that has come down among ordinary people mainly by word of mouth and song over generations. Songs, tales, proverbs and riddles come under it.
నిర్వచనం Definition
జానపద సాహిత్యం అంటే సాధారణ ప్రజల మధ్య ప్రధానంగా మౌఖికంగా వ్యాపించిన సాహిత్యం. ఇది సాధారణంగా ఒక సమూహానికి చెందినదిగా ఉంటుంది; కొన్ని రచనల రచయిత పేరు తెలియదు, కొన్నింటికి సంప్రదాయంగా ఒక పేరు చెబుతారు.
Janapada sahityam is literature that has spread mainly by word of mouth among ordinary people. It generally belongs to a community; for some pieces the author's name is unknown, and for others tradition names someone.
లక్షణాలు How to recognise it
తరచు కనిపించే రూపాలు: జానపద గేయాలు (పని పాటలు, పండుగ పాటలు, లాలిపాటలు వంటివి), కథలు, గాథలు, సామెతలు, జాతీయాలు, పొడుపు కథలు, ప్రదర్శన కళలతో కలిసి చెప్పే కథలు (బుర్రకథ వంటివి). గుర్తించే లక్షణాలు: మౌఖిక సంప్రదాయం, సరళమైన భాష, పునరావృతం, ప్రాంతీయ మాండలికం, సామూహిక వినియోగం.
Forms often seen: folk songs (such as work songs, festival songs and lullabies), tales and ballads, proverbs, idioms, riddles, and stories told together with performing arts (such as the burrakatha). Signs to look for: oral tradition, simple language, repetition, regional dialect and communal use.
