విమర్శనా సాహిత్యం అంటే ఇతర సాహిత్య రచనలను చదివి, విశ్లేషించి, వివరించి, విలువ కట్టే రచనలు. వ్యాసాలు, సమీక్షలు, అధ్యయన గ్రంథాలు ఇందులో కనిపిస్తాయి.

లక్షణాలు How to recognise it
తరచు కనిపించే రూపాలు: పరిశోధన వ్యాసాలు, పుస్తక సమీక్షలు, ఒక కవి లేదా రచనపై అధ్యయన గ్రంథాలు, ముందుమాటలు, తులనాత్మక అధ్యయనాలు. ప్రధాన లక్షణం: ఒక మూల రచన ఉండి, దానిపై వివరణ, చర్చ ఉండడం.
Forms often seen: research articles, book reviews, study books on a poet or a work, prefaces and comparative studies. The main sign is that there is a primary work and the writing explains and discusses it.
