దిగంబర కవిత్వం అంటే 1960ల మధ్య ప్రాంతంలో ఆరుగురు కవులు ప్రారంభించిన తెలుగు కవితా ఉద్యమం. సమాజంలోని కపటాన్ని తీవ్రమైన భాషలో నేరుగా చెప్పడం దీని లక్షణంగా వర్ణిస్తారు (సరిచూడాలి).
Digambara kavitvam was a Telugu poetry movement begun by six poets around the mid-1960s. It is described as speaking of social hypocrisy directly and in strong language (subject to verification).
నిర్వచనం Definition
దిగంబరం అంటే వస్త్రం లేనిది, అంటే "నగ్నం". ఈ పేరుతో కవులు సమాజంలోని కపటాన్ని, పైపై మర్యాదలను తొలగించి సత్యాన్ని నేరుగా చెప్పడమే తమ లక్ష్యంగా చెప్పుకున్నారని వివరిస్తారు (సరిచూడాలి). ఇది సుమారు 1965 ప్రాంతంలో మొదలై ఆరుగురు కవుల సంకలనాలుగా వెలువడిందని చెబుతారు (సరిచూడాలి).
Digambara means "without clothing", that is, "naked". The poets are explained as having taken this name to claim that they would strip away social hypocrisy and surface politeness and say the truth directly (subject to verification). It is said to have begun around 1965 and to have appeared as collections by six poets (subject to verification).
