వీర రసం

Veera rasa (the heroic sentiment)

వీరం నవరసాలలో ఒకటి; దీని స్థాయిభావం ఉత్సాహం, అంటే పట్టుదలతో కూడిన ధైర్యం, శక్తి. యుద్ధంలోనే కాక దానం, దయ, ధర్మం వంటి రంగాలలో కూడా చూపే ఘనమైన సాహసాన్ని వర్ణించే సందర్భాలలో ఇది కనిపిస్తుంది.

Veera is one of the nine rasas; its sthayibhava is utsaha, energetic and determined zeal. It appears when the poet describes bold, noble endeavour, not only in battle but also in generosity, compassion and righteousness.

నిర్వచనం Definition

వీర రసానికి స్థాయిభావం ఉత్సాహం. కష్టాన్ని ఎదుర్కొనడానికి, గొప్ప పనిని సాధించడానికి మనిషిలో కలిగే ఉత్సాహం, దృఢ సంకల్పం ఇందులో ప్రధానం. కొన్ని గ్రంథాలు వీరాన్ని యుద్ధవీరం, దానవీరం, దయావీరం, ధర్మవీరం వంటి రకాలుగా చెబుతాయి.

The sthayibhava of veera rasa is utsaha. The energy and firm resolve that rise in a person to face hardship and accomplish something great are central to it. Some treatises describe kinds of veera such as yuddhaveera (valour in battle), danaveera (in giving), dayaveera (in compassion) and dharmaveera (in righteousness).

ఉపయోగం Where it is used

యుద్ధ వర్ణనలలో, వీరుల ప్రశంసలలో, రాజుల దాన, శౌర్య వర్ణనలలో, వీరగాథా కావ్యాలలో వీర రసం ప్రధానంగా కనిపిస్తుంది. స్ఫూర్తినిచ్చే రచనలలో, దేశభక్తి గీతాలలో కూడా ఇది వస్తుంది.

Veera is prominent in battle descriptions, in praise of heroes, in descriptions of the generosity and valour of kings, and in heroic narrative poems. It also occurs in inspiring writing and patriotic songs.
