నిర్వచనం Definition

భావం అంటే అనుభూతి, మనసులోని భావోద్వేగం. భావ సాహిత్యం అంటే ఈ అనుభూతి ప్రధానంగా ఉండే రచనలు, ముఖ్యంగా కవి తన వ్యక్తిగత భావాలను చెప్పే గీతాలు, కవితలు. ఈ పదానికి ఒకే నిర్వచనం లేదు; పుస్తకాన్ని బట్టి అర్థం మారవచ్చు (సరిచూడాలి).

Bhava means feeling or emotion. Bhava sahityam is writing in which such feeling is central, especially songs and poems in which the poet speaks of personal feelings. The term has no single agreed definition; its meaning may differ from book to book (subject to verification).

మొదటిది, భావ ప్రధానమైన, అంటే వ్యక్తిగత అనుభూతిని చెప్పే గీత లేదా కవితా రచనలు అనే సాధారణ అర్థం. రెండవది, 20వ శతాబ్ది తొలి దశాబ్దాల్లో తెలుగు కవిత్వంలో వచ్చిన భావకవిత్వ ధోరణి; దాని గురించి "భావకవిత్వ ఉద్యమ సాహిత్యం" పేజీ చూడండి. మూడవది, కావ్యశాస్త్రంలో "భావం" అనే పారిభాషిక పదం: రసానికి ఆధారమైన మనోభావాలను ఇది సూచిస్తుంది; ఇది రసం భావనతో కలిసి "భాషా విజ్ఞానం" విభాగంలో ఉంది.

The term is used in at least three senses (subject to verification).

The first is the general sense of writing centred on feeling, that is, songs or poems that express personal emotion. The second is the Bhavakavitvam trend that arose in Telugu poetry in the early decades of the 20th century; see the page on the Bhavakavitvam movement. The third is the technical word "bhava" in poetics, which refers to the emotional states on which a rasa rests; it belongs with the rasa concept under Language and literary knowledge.
