Bhavakavitvam is a trend that grew strong in Telugu poetry in roughly the early decades of the 20th century. Its main mark is that the poet speaks of personal feelings, love, beauty and nature with sensitivity. It is compared with English Romantic poetry (subject to verification).
లక్షణాలు How to recognise it
తరచు కనిపించేవి: వ్యక్తిగత భావ ప్రకటన, ప్రేమ, ప్రకృతి, సౌందర్యారాధన, గేయ రూపాల వాడకం, సున్నితమైన భాష. అన్ని కవితల్లో ఇవన్నీ ఉంటాయని కాదు.
Often seen: personal expression, love, nature, a love of beauty, use of song forms, and delicate language. Not every poem shows all of these.

ఈ ధోరణితో తరచు ప్రస్తావించే కవులు: దేవులపల్లి కృష్ణశాస్త్రి, రాయప్రోలు సుబ్బారావు, నండూరి సుబ్బారావు; ఎవరిని ఇందులో చేర్చాలి, ఈ ఉద్యమం ఎప్పుడు మొదలై ఎప్పుడు ముగిసింది అనే విషయాల్లో అభిప్రాయభేదాలు ఉండవచ్చు (సరిచూడాలి). తర్వాతి కాలంలో అభ్యుదయ కవిత్వం ప్రధాన ధోరణిగా వచ్చిందని చెబుతారు (సరిచూడాలి). Poets often mentioned with this trend are Devulapalli Krishnasastri, Rayaprolu Subba Rao and Nanduri Subba Rao; opinions may differ on whom to include and on when the movement began and ended (subject to verification).
