జాతీయ సాహిత్యం అనే పదాన్ని సాధారణంగా దేశభక్తిని, స్వాతంత్ర్యోద్యమ స్ఫూర్తిని వ్యక్తం చేసే రచనలను సూచించడానికి వాడతారు. ఈ పదం పరిధి ఖచ్చితంగా నిర్ణయం కాలేదు (సరిచూడాలి).

నిర్వచనం Definition
జాతి అంటే దేశం, ప్రజలు. జాతీయ సాహిత్యం అంటే దేశభక్తి, దేశ గౌరవం, స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాట స్ఫూర్తి, జాతీయ ఐక్యత వంటి భావాలు ప్రధానంగా ఉన్న రచనలను చెప్పవచ్చు. కొన్ని సందర్భాల్లో ఈ పదాన్ని ఒక జాతి (ఉదాహరణకు తెలుగు జాతి) సాహిత్యం అనే అర్థంలోనూ వాడతారు (సరిచూడాలి).
Jati here means nation and people. Jateeya sahityam can be taken as writing in which feelings such as patriotism, national pride, the spirit of the freedom struggle and national unity are central. In some contexts the term is also used in the sense of the literature of one people (for example the Telugu people) (subject to verification).
లక్షణాలు How to recognise it
సాధారణంగా కనిపించేవి: మాతృభూమి పట్ల ప్రేమ, గతాన్ని స్మరించుకోవడం, పోరాట స్ఫూర్తి, ఉత్తేజపరిచే గేయాలు, వీరుల ప్రశంస.
Commonly seen: love of the motherland, remembering the past, the spirit of struggle, rousing songs, and praise of heroes.
