అవ్యయం
Avyayam (the indeclinable)
అవ్యయం అంటే లింగం, వచనం, విభక్తులను బట్టి రూపం మారని పదం. ఆశ్చర్యం, దుఃఖం వంటి భావాలను తెలిపే పదాలు, వాక్యాలను కలిపే పదాలు వంటివి అవ్యయాల్లో చేరతాయి.
An avyayam is an indeclinable: a word whose form does not change with gender, number or case. Words that express surprise or sorrow, and words that join sentences, are among the words usually placed here.
నిర్వచనం Definition
అవ్యయం అంటే 'మారనిది'. లింగ, వచన, విభక్తుల వల్ల రూపం మారని పదాలను అవ్యయాలు అంటారు. నామవాచకం, సర్వనామం, క్రియ వంటి పదాలు ఇలా రూపం మారతాయి; అవ్యయం ఎప్పుడూ ఒకే రూపంలో ఉంటుంది.
Avyayam means "that which does not change". Words whose form does not alter with gender, number or case are called avyayas. Nouns, pronouns and verbs change their form; an avyayam always stays in one form.

గమనికలు Notes
Which words count as avyayas depends on the book. Some books place interjections, conjunctions and other particles together; others name them separately (subject to verification). That is why only a few examples are given here; a full list is in standard grammar textbooks.
