Definition
The arasunna is a sign (a dot with a half-moon) named "half of the sunna (anuswara)"; in old writing it was used for a nasal sound lighter than the anuswara. The letters tsa and dza are old letters related to cha and ja; they are said to have been used for special sounds in some old Telugu words (subject to verification).
