నిర్వచనం Definition

నిషేధార్థక క్రియ అంటే 'కాదు', 'లేదు' అనే అర్థంతో పనిని నిరాకరించే క్రియ. కొన్ని రూపాలు పని జరగదని లేదా జరగలేదని చెబుతాయి; మరికొన్ని 'చేయవద్దు' అనే నిషేధాన్ని చెబుతాయి.

A nishedhartha kriya is a verb that denies an action, with the sense "not". Some forms say the action does not or did not happen; others express a prohibition, "do not do".

atadu chadavadu. (He does not read, or will not read.)

ame chadavadu. (She does not read; the spelling of the ending differs from the masculine in Telugu script.)

varu chadavaru. (They do not read.)

nenu vellanu. (I will not go.)

atadu chadavaledu. (He did not read.)

vellaku. (Do not go; a prohibition.)
