నిర్వచనం Definition

భవిష్యత్కాలం అంటే ఇంకా జరగాల్సిన పనిని చెప్పే కాలం. సంప్రదాయ వ్యాకరణంలో భూత, వర్తమాన కాలాలతో పాటు ఇది మూడు కాలాల్లో ఒకటి.

Bhavishyatkalam is the tense that tells of an action still to happen. In traditional grammar it is one of the three tenses, along with the past and the present.

నేను రేపు అన్నం తింటాను.

అతడు పుస్తకం చదువుతాడు.

వారు రేపు వస్తారు.

కర్తను బట్టి ప్రత్యయం మారుతుంది (తింటాను, తింటావు, తింటాడు, తింటుంది, తింటారు).

nenu repu annam tintanu. (I will eat rice tomorrow.)

atadu pustakam chaduvutadu. (He will read a book.)

varu repu vastaru. (They will come tomorrow.)

The ending changes with the subject (tintanu, tintavu, tintadu, tintundi, tintaru).

గమనికలు Notes

ఇక్కడ ఇచ్చింది పాఠ్యపుస్తక స్థాయి వివరణ. తెలుగులో ఈ రూపాలే అలవాటును కూడా చెబుతాయి (అతడు రోజూ చదువుతాడు), కాబట్టి భవిష్యత్తు అని వేరుగా చెప్పాలా, వర్తమానంతో కలిపి 'భూతేతర' కాలంగా చెప్పాలా అనే విషయంలో ఆధునిక భాషా శాస్త్రవేత్తలు, పుస్తకాలు ఒకే విధంగా చెప్పరు (సరిచూడాలి). సాహిత్య భాషలో వేరే భవిష్యత్ రూపాలున్నాయి; అవి ఇక్కడ ఇవ్వలేదు.

This is a textbook-level account. In Telugu these same forms also express a habit (atadu roju chaduvutadu), so books and modern linguists do not agree on whether to call this a separate future or to join it with the present as one non-past tense (subject to verification). Literary language has other future forms; they are not given here.
