నిర్వచనం Definition
Tumuntam is the non-finite verb that tells that something was done for the sake of doing something else, with the sense "in order to". It does not close the sentence; a samapaka verb comes at the end. In modern language the form is "-daniki" (chadavadaniki) and in literary language "-taku" (chaduvutaku).
This page takes up one of the four forms named on the page "Kridantalu".

గమనికలు Notes
The form "-daniki" is commonly analysed as containing "ki", of the chaturthi case, which is why the sense of purpose arises (subject to verification; see the page on chaturthi vibhakti). The names and lists of endings that books give for the tumuntam forms may vary (subject to verification).
Full details of these forms are not given here; this is a textbook-level account. The kinds of non-finite verbs and their names differ by book.
