ద్వితీయా విభక్తి

Dvitiya vibhakti (accusative case)

ద్వితీయా విభక్తి అంటే వాక్యంలో కర్మను, అంటే క్రియ యొక్క ఫలం పడేదాన్ని చెప్పే రూపం. సంప్రదాయ పుస్తకాల్లో దీని ప్రత్యయాలుగా ని, ను, ల వంటివాటిని, కొన్ని పుస్తకాల్లో గురించి వంటి పదాలను కూడా చెబుతారు.

Dvitiya vibhakti (the second case, accusative) is the form that names the object of the verb, the thing on which the action falls. Traditional books give endings such as ni, nu and la for it, and some also list words like gurinchi.

నిర్వచనం Definition

ద్వితీయా విభక్తి అంటే వాక్యంలో కర్మను చెప్పే రూపం. కర్మ అంటే క్రియ చేసే పని ఎవరిపై లేదా దేనిపై పడుతుందో అది. సకర్మక క్రియ ఉన్న వాక్యంలో ఈ రూపం కనిపిస్తుంది.

Dvitiya vibhakti is the form that names the object (karma): the person or thing on which the action of the verb falls. It appears in sentences with a sakarmaka (transitive) verb.

గుర్తించడం, ఉదాహరణలు Recognising it, examples

Before the verb, ask "whom?" or "what?". The answer is in the dvitiya vibhakti.

atadu pustakanni chadivadu. (He read what? The book.)

ame puvvulanu kosindi. (She plucked what? The flowers.)

ame patanu padindi. (She sang what? The song.)

Traditional books give ni, nu and la as the endings. Some books also place words like "gurinchi" (about, as in atani gurinchi cheppadu) under this case; books differ (subject to verification).

గమనికలు Notes

ఇక్కడ ఇచ్చింది పాఠ్యపుస్తక స్థాయి వివరణ. మాటల్లో కర్మను సూచించే ప్రత్యయాన్ని కొన్నిసార్లు వదిలేస్తారు (పుస్తకం చదివాడు); అయినా అది కర్మగానే గ్రహించబడుతుంది. ప్రత్యయం చేరినప్పుడు పదం రూపం కొంత మారవచ్చు (పుస్తకం, పుస్తకాన్ని).

This is a textbook-level account. In speech the ending that marks the object is sometimes dropped (pustakam chadivadu), though the word is still understood as the object. When the ending is added the word's shape may change a little (pustakam, pustakanni).
